You have the blacksmith arrested, and put on trial at your father's keep. Your father is quite furious that you've ignored your mission and caused such a stir, and once the details come to light during the trial that you were simply trying to throw your weight around, he's even more furious. He sets the blacksmith loose, and confines you the castle.
You live there like a prisoner for a few days, until your father, finally tired of your ways, disowns you and casts you out into the world. There, within months, you die in the cold of winter, without a penny to your name and hated by the people.
