- Crossness LNR: possible (m) Grey-headed Wagtail briefly east of Incinerator building in horse paddock (east of flooded paddock), also Greenshank and Wood Sandpiper (view from footpath east of incinerator south of River Thames) (Birdguides), ad "grey-headed-type" gull (perhaps a hybrid Grey-headed x Silver Gull) reportedly still present this morning (Karen Sutton via JA).
- Dagenham: Common Buzzard SW 14:15hrs (EssexBirders).
- Walpole Park (Ealing): 1 Grey Wagtail (Jim Fell).
- London Wetland Centre: pr Shelduck, m Peregrine, 3 Common Sandpiper, c12 Common Tern - Brimstone, Orange-tip, Holly Blue (LWC website).
- Wormwood Scrubs: 1 Peregrine, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, c6 Swallow, c14 Swift, 1 Common Gull, 1 Common Tern + the usual suspects. (David Lindo & Roy Nuttall).
- Richmond Park: Cuckoo calling from Pond Plantation; Shelduck pair & Common Tern thru (J. Wilczur).
- East India Dock: LRP, Jay (scarce here), 7 pairs Common Terns, 3 Reed Warblers, 2 Whitethroats (David Callahan).
- Paddington Green: singing Grey Wagtail (Des McKenzie).
- Horsenden Hill: 1 m Cuckoo, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, 4 Garden Warblers, 23 singing Whitethroats, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 1 m Bullfinch (NPS).
- Tyttenhanger GP's: 2 Black Tern, 4 Hobby, 4 Common Tern, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Redshank, 2 Ringed Plover, Buzzard Garden Warbler + usual warblers (Steve Blake).
- South Norwood Lake: 2 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Cormorant, 4 Greylag Goose, 2 Great Spotted Wooodpecker, 2 Green Woodpecker, 4 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 2 Swallow, 5 Swift, 10 Ring-necked Parakeet, 6 Goldfinch, 8 Greenfinch, 4 Chaffinch, 6 Blackcap, 7 Chiffchaff, 1 singing Garden Warbler, 6 House Sparrow (John Watson).
Monday 5th May.
- Walthamstow Res: Bar-tailed godwit feeding on East Warwick island at 15:00 (J.Murray).
- RSPB Rainham Marshes (07.30- 09.00): Grasshopper Warbler singing west end opposite Tilda; Riverside: 5 Bar-tailed Godwits, 1 Grey Plover and 1 Dunlin, at least 1 Common Tern feeding on the river; Reserve: female Marsh Harrier quartering behind targets and a Cuckoo (Alan Shearman).
- Crossness LNR: Richard's Pipit in paddock east of the flooded paddock, east of the incinerator 0955-1130 only; ad Grey-headed Gull (unringed but of unknown, presumably dubious, origin) on flooded paddock 1500-1530 then flew NE; also Wood Sandpiper, 2 Black Terns, Arctic Tern, 25 Common Terns, Whimbrel, Tree Pipit, Hobby, Rook, Wheatear, Common Sandpiper (John Archer, Ian Miller et al).
- Staines Res: 17 Black Tern, 5 Dunlin, 1 Redshank, 1 Oystercatcher south (Adam Cheeseman). In the evening, drake Garganey on N basin from 1940hrs, Whimbrel flew W at 2010hrs, 1st-summer Mediterranean Gull, three Little Gulls, Arctic Tern, 16 Black Terns (Rob Innes, Ken Purdey).
- Brent Reservoir: imm male Goldeneye, 2 Greenshank briefly, 2 Rook over, 7 Greylag Geese & 2 Shelducks (Brent Birders)
- West Molesey: Greenshank flew east over from Molesey Reservoirs (Adam Cheeseman).
- Osterley Park: Blackcap 5, Common Whitethroat 6, Skylark 2, Common Tern 1, Egyptian Goose 10+, Little Owl 1, Coal Tit 2, Mandarin 3 males (Keith Fisher).
- Alexandra Park: Spotted Flycatcher 1145 The Grove, flew in, landed briefly and sallied forth on flycatching sortie before flying off and not relocated (Bob Watts), female Greenland Wheatear 0645-0925 at least Cricket Pitch and pavilion area, Sedge Warbler Scrub, Lesser Whitethroat heard near railway line, scrub & hawthorn hedge so 2-3 birds present, Willow Warbler Top Field, Linnet, 2 Swallow, sev House Martin, 15 R N Parakeets (sadly first double figure count for site) (Gareth Richards, Bob Watts, Dominic Mitchell, John Murray).
- Iver: Common Buzzard, Hobby over early p.m (Birdguides).
- Shadwell Basin: Grey Wagtail (David Callahan).
- Nightingale Lane, south of Alexandra Park: Tawny Owl heard 0315 (Bob Watts).
- Kensington Gardens (flying visit): Emperor Goose (esc), fem Red-crested Pochard with brood of 5, Peregrine (prob m) east c09:30hrs, ad Tawny Owl, 5 Blackcap (Des McKenzie, Andrew Kruger).
- Queen Elizabeth II Res: 3 Ringed Plover, Oystercatcher, Greenshank (later seen over Molesey (SBC).
- Lee Valley Cornmill Meadows: Nightingale (near car park), Sparrowhawk, Garden Warbler, Redshank, Cuckoo, Cetti's Warbler (Mike Benyon)
- Wimbledon Common: a singing Firecrest (David Wills).
- London Wetland Centre (a.m): Hobby 2, R. B. Goose 2 escapees, Shelduck pair, Greenshank 2 NW + 1 remaining on site, Common Sand. 1, Turtle Dove 1 nth, Swift c. 30, Swallow 16 nth, Yellow Wagtail 1 m, Tree Pipit 1 SW, Garden Warbler 3, Lesser Whitethroat 1, sedge Warbler 11 singing (NPS). Also 4 Common Sand late am (Matthew Palmer). 3 LRP (probably 4) plus one Buzzard over SSE and two Collared Dove W late pm (Martin Honey).

- Regents Park: f Ring Ouzel, Northern Wheatear, Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warblers, 3 Chiffchaffs, Linnet, 2 Jackdaws (Tony Duckett).

- Clissold Park (Stoke Newington): Red Kite (east, 1450), Hobby (chasing Swifts, then north, 1440), c70 Swifts (Mark Pearson Hackney Wildlife)
- Stoke Newington reservoirs: 2 Whitethroat, c30 Swift (TeRNS).
- Dagenham Chase LNR: 1 Cuckoo (at last) also 2 Common Tern, 1 Common Sandpiper. (Vince Halley-Frame).
- Cassiobury Park: 3 Green Woodpeckers, 25 House Martins, 15 Swifts, 10 Swallows, 5 Chiffchaffs, 4 Blackcaps, Whitethroat, Wood warbler, Willow Warbler.
- River View, Enfield Town: 7 Ring-necked Parakeet, flew over calling (Robert Callf).
Sunday 4th May.
- Amwell GP's: Spoonbill circled for a few minutes at 17:50hrs hours then flew north, 2 Black Tern, Redshank, Common Snipe, Common Sandpiper, Grasshopper Warbler - flight footage of Spoonbill here > [1] (HertsBirding) - 2 Black Terns briefly at 11.45 (Tim Hill).
- King George V Res (permit access only): 15 Black Terns, male Marsh Harrier high south, 20+ Common Tern, Common Sandpiper (David Bradnum), 16 Black Terns (North Basin), Hobby (Birdguides).
- Alexandra Park: 1 possibly 2 Sedge warblers this pm; one seen in brambles from last viewing platform and one in the scrub, also Greenland Wheatear in the morning (J.Murray & Bob Watts).
- Richmond Pk: 1 female Greenland Wheatear & Yellow Wagtail at Holly Lodge (J.Murray snr).
- Bedfont Lakes CP: fem Cetti's Warbler trapped and ringed (RRG per Adam Cheeseman).
- Beddington SF: Madagascar Teal (esc), Hobby, 3 Common Sandpiper (Dip or Glory).
- Seventy Acres Lake: Black Tern (c08.10-08.25) (Roy Woodward).
- Holyfield GP: 5 Egyptian Geese, Grey Wagtail (Roy Woodward), 4 Black Terns and 1 Arctic Tern reported late morning.

- Lonsdale Rd Res: pr Common Terns, 5 Swift, 2 singing Blackcap, fem Whitethroat, 2 singing Reed Warbler, singing Chiffchaff (Neil Anderson).
- Junc A406 and A104 (Waterworks Corner): Large raptor, probably a Buzzard, north-east at 14:00 (Paul Whiteman - driving with no optics).
- Beddington SF: Big Day count - 6 Shelduck, Crested Duck (esc), single Ospreys NW and NE, 7 Common Buzzard, 2 Hobby, fem Peregrine, Greenshank, Common Sandpiper, Yellow Wagtail, 3 fem Wheatear (Dip or Glory).
- Brent Reservoir: Big Day count - 68 species inc. Osprey north at 09:25, Little Egret 09:35 & Common Sand (Brent Birders).

Friday 2nd May.
- Alexandra Park: male Sparrowhawk, ad Herring Gull north, Ring-necked Parakeet in lower slope area, Willow Warbler singing west of cricket scrub, 4 singing Common Whitethroats, several Blackcaps, singing Chiffchaff, single Swallow and Swift over reservoir (Dominic Mitchell).
- North Watford (River Colne): Spotted Flycatcher (HertsBirding).
- Wormwood Scrubs: 1 singing Sedge Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, c4 Lesser Whitethroat, c14 Whitethroat, c8 Blackcap, c4 Chiffchaff, 1 Collared Dove (scarce here) & 1 Jackdaw. (David Lindo)
- London Wetland Centre: 3 Common Buzzard south (0840, 1100, 1105) then 1 SW at 1415, Marsh Harrier circling river high, 1 Hobby, 1 Peregrine x Saker hybrid, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 80 Swift, trickle of Linnet and Swallow north, unconfirmed report of Hoopoe by visitor in wildside @ c1300 seen briefly perched in scrub behind dragonfly pond - no further sign or reports since (Dan Monk), 2 Sparrowhawk, m Kestrel, many Swift, several Sedge and Reed Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, plentiful Blackcap - at least four Water Vole along Waterlife, first Orange Tip of the year (LWC website).
- Paddington Green: Common Buzzard south mobbed by crows 12:05hrs, Swift, singing Grey Wagtail (Des McKenzie).
- Beddington SF: Crested Duck (esc), Common Buzzard, Hobby, Little Egret, 2 Redshank (Dip or Glory).
- Richmond Park: 1 Common Buzzard @ 1115 and 2 @ 1200, Hobby, Ring Ouzel female still (J. Wilczur).
- Kimber Road (Wandsworth): 1 Swallow NW at 07.54, plus 8 Swift in the immediate area (local birds) (Martin Honey).
- Queen Elizabeth II Res: Bar-tailed Godwit circled 0540-0610, also Peregrine & 2 Common Sands (DMH), Common Buzzard (SBC).
- Finsbury Park: 2 Swifts screaming over the park so may be local birds, 21 Pochards on boating lake, Blackcap singing (Ian Bradshaw).
- East India Dock/Bow Creek Ecology Park: 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 4 Whitethroats, 6 Reed Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, 3 Linnets (N), 8 Common Terns, 1 ad GBBGull (David Callahan).
- Hampstead Heath (Parliament Hill area): 2 Common Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 10 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 male Sparrowhawk, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Swallow (Reuben Braddock (but credit to another birder who I bumped into for finding some of these)).
- Trent Park Area: 5 Little Grebe, at Parkside Res; 2 Sparrowhawk, together, over Hog Hill; 1 Common Buzzard; 4 Cuckoo,(2 together, Vicarage Farm, 1 singing male, Park Farm, 1 singing male, Icehouse Wood); 5 Swift; 1 female Green Woodpecker; 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker; 2 Swallow; 1 male Grey Wagtail, carrying food; 1 female Northern Wheatear, Hog Hill; 4 singing male Lesser Whitethroat; 2 singing male Garden Warbler; 2(m&f) Bullfinch, together, Park Farm; 1 singing male Yellowhammer, at Vicarage Farm (Robert Callff).
- Regents Park: Common Sandpiper dropped in during heavy shower, 5 Jackdaws(3&2), 2nd m Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, 5 Swifts, 5 Swallows, 1st pair og Great C Grebes hatched and 2 very distant large raptors south of the park between 12.30 and 1.00pm (Tony Duckett).
- Brunel University: 2 Red Kite over campus at 13.40, 35 Swift passing through and Lesser Whitethroat (Steve Pash)
Thursday 1st May.
- Muswell Hill: first-summer male Siskin still in Rosebery Road area - bird was trapped and ringed on 27th April in nearby garden (Dominic Mitchell)
- Hounslow: ringtail harrier following the River Crane in north Feltham before heading towards Hounslow Heath at 14:20hrs (Birdguides).
- Beddington SF: Marsh Harrier SW, Hobby, Dunlin, Common Sandpiper (Dip or Glory).
- Lee Valley (Holyfield Viewpoint): Red-rumped Swallow at 10.45 flew east, 100+ Swifts over Holyfield Lake (Mike Oakland).
- Richmond Park: 2 Ring Ouzel still in Holly Lodge paddocks (SBC).
- Queen Elizabeth II Res: Peregrine (SBC).
- Alexandra Park: 2 Swallow, pair Common Tern, 2 House Martin, RN Parakeet (flyover but pair recently on slope below of pitch n putt) 0635-0710 (Bob Watts), 2 Common Swift and pair of Greylag Geese in from south late afternoon (Dominic Mitchell) - (Bob, where was the parakeet? Mike Benyon).
- Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens: m Grey Wagtail (Italian Fountains 06:30) (Paul Bruty), pr Gadwall, fem Sparrowhawk, m Kestrel, Peregrine (prob fem) drifted and circled north over Long Water 12:15hrs, Sand Martin, Swallow, c30 House Martin (hirundines mainly Round Pond), singing Reed Warbler (Long Water East), 8 Blackcap, Linnet west - Red-eared Terrapin (Des McKenzie).
- Belvedere; Whimbrel by Thames in west paddock this morning, m Whinchat in east paddock (Birdguides).
- Bexley Woods: calling Cuckoo this a.m (KosNet).
- Stoke Newington Reservoirs: 2 Common Whitethroats, 2 Common Terns, 11 Reed Warblers, 2 Sedge Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, 50+ House Martins, c100 Swifts, 7 Sand Martins, 1 Linnet (Mark Pearson).
- Clissold Park: singing Goldcrest, three Blackcaps, 8 Pochard (Mark Pearson)
- Abney Park Cemetery: 8 Blackcaps, Orange Tip (Mark Pearson)
- Leyton Flats: 1 Hobby, 1 Common Buzzard and a few Swifts, but generally really quiet (Gary A James).
- Hampstead Heath (Parliament Hill area): 1m House Sparrow (1st this year!), pr Bullfinch, 2 singing Common Whitethroat (Reuben Braddock).
