Richard of Lincoln
From London Requiem
The historical Invictus dominance over the "City of London" or "Square Mile" begins with Richard of Lincoln. He claimed domain over the 677 acre site in 1223, and named the entire area an Elysium with the exception of Old Jewry Street. This saw a split in the administration of London, with the Square Mile ruled by the Invictus and the remainder of London...at least at the time...ruled by the Lancea Sanctum. Despite the massive growth of London since this period, with the exception of a five year period at the start of the 15th century, the Invictus have remained as the rulers of the Square Mile.
