This charm adds the martial artist's Martial Arts score to their Join Battle roll, or to any Awareness-based roll to detect a surprise attack or ambush. This does count against the martial artist's die adder cap for charms, as normal.

Following the gentle stream of fate, the martial artist is aware, even when it would seem otherwise. While this charm is active, the martial artist may apply his DVs normally to surprise attacks. This does not mitigate penalties to DV other than surprise.

The martial artist attacks and defends with the speed of a mighty wind. This charm supplements a martial arts attack or a flurry which includes at least one martial arts attack. It increases the rate of the martial artist's martial arts attacks by 1, and reduces the DV penalty of the attack or flurry by 1 for every 2 motes spent.
Example: Trout is facing down a trio of demon-worshippers, and wants to attack all three of them but doesn't want to suffer the consequences of spreading his defense too thin if their friends down the hall hear him. So he makes a normal flurry of three martial arts attacks and activates Swift Breeze Meditation, spending six motes to reduce the DV penalty of his attacks to 0.

Until her next action, the martial artist can apply her DVs against any attack normally, regardless of circumstances that would otherwise prevent it - she can apply her DVs while clinched, while bound and gagged, or even while encased neck-deep in a solid block of ice.

By spending 1 mote reflexively, the martial artist may increase the speed and DV penalty of an attack made against her by 1.
