[edit] The LDI concept

An LDI (that simply comes from Let's Do It) is an open online project, hosted in an LDI hosting website. This are its properties:

  1. Open: Everyone in the world can join the projects and contribute with his own possibilities.
  2. Online: The projects are organized and developed directly on the web.
  3. The projects are not isolated in different websites, but all reachable through an unique and organized wiki that categorizes them and lets important information about them be much easier to find.

LDI hosting websites are websites where everyone can add a new LDI or join one.

[edit] Other properties of LDIs

LDI is: organizing, developping, doing together. Important is: it has to have a practical effect.

LDI is not: made just to store information, but it is active and wants something to happen, wants people to do something.

LDI is not a discussion forum. It is possible to create discussion pages, but only if related to a goal. That means: in that page one has to come to a conclusion, to resolve a point, and then the project goes on. If an LDI becomes a forum, it can be categorized as inactive LDI.

LDI is not a blog. One cannot describe what he wants in an LDI, but only describe how a project goes on, and organize it. If there's only one person contributing to an LDI but it doesn't get a kind of "private page" of the user, it cannot be categorized as a blog.

[edit] The possibilities of LDIs

If you want to do something, anything, you just have to open a project in this wiki, and like minded people from all over the world will be able to join you and to contribute to your project!

[edit] Open Project Development

Open Project Development is the first LDI (that you too can join), started in this wiki, and its goal is to develop this powerful concept, and to let it get known.
