DIED-- Lewis DIESS died at his home in Eugene, Seventh and Lincoln streets, this Monday, February 6, at 9 oclock a m aged 61 years and 19 days. Mr Diess was born in Wuerttemburg, Germany, January 17, 1838. He came to Oregon in the year 1873 and settled fifteen miles west of Eugene, where he resided until 1897 when he moved to Eugene. He leaves a wife, four sons and five daughters. The internment will take place in the Mulkey Cemetery probably tomorrow afternoon, no definite hour having been set on account of waiting the arrival of a son.
