In America Mew Mew, Nicholas "Nilos" Sage is one of Shuugo's best friends. Mimi notes that Nilos looks like a normal blond, blue-eyed child, but it turns out in episode 36 that Nilos is actually a half-elf and thus has all of their powers. Like the rest of Shuu's friends outside of the Mew Project, Nilos attends Esori Prepatory School and is currently in the 11th grade with Shuugo.

Nilos' weapon are two blue yo-yos, and he primarily specializes in thunder/lightning magic. As for his family? His older sister, Risa, started "Ruin Appreciation Month" in June and is a well-known archeologist. His parents are also archeologists, but they're of the more boring, research in a lab variety than Risa is. (So, yes: Nilos was originally an expy of Genis Sage from Tales of Symphonia.)

His main role in the Kokoro-verse is an easter egg to recognize this as one of Saica's stories. As Nilos is American, he's seriously there for the cameos and inside jokes.

In his authoress's original works, Nilos appears in Band as the guy "always texting his friends in class" and who constantly bleaches his hair (but his classmates, who lack common sense, think his hair was dyed white by the Canadian snow.)
