Shirogane Kyr is the youngest son of Shirogane Ryou and Midorikawa Retasu, having two older siblings, Shirogane Takeru and Shirogane Razuberii. While he was responsible for the Chrono Mew Project, along with an alternate of Takaishi Sora and his older brother, the Shirogane is probably most famous for his defeat of Black Soul member Memory Brandon. He was known for his earlier depressed and subdued nature, but he's become more cheerful as of late. He's still as apologetic as he can be on occasions, and that clumsy streak's still there.

History

Before Kokoro

As stated earlier, Shirogane, Kyr Hitoshi was born to Shirogane Ryou and Midorikawa Retasu as their third and final child in Chrono Mew Mew. The child, unlike many other Shirogane children, was not raised in Cafe Mew Mew; at this point, the pastry shop had gone under severe renovations and no longer served as a headquarters for the Mew Project, but became the ordinary sweet shop that just happened to have spare guest rooms. By this time, Sora had become a good friend of Ryou's, and was close enough to help him test out the magic on the children. Takeru and Razuberii had already been tested (Takeru could control water, but Razuberii had no real strength in anything - it was later revealed that while she wasn't cursed, she could only do basic spells outside of battle), so when it was Kyr's turn, it was quickly revealed that he had a tendency to cast time magic.

Thus, he attended Hoshizen Academy when it was time for him to go to school. It was assumed that he would attend Mizuho University School, which was the top all-boy mage school, once he reached seventh grade, but at the time, it was of no concern.

When Kyr was eleven, however, Takeru revived the Mew Project, if only because of renewed interest in the magical world. While Takeru himself was never injected as a guinea pig, he (along with Sora, who agreed to help) injected Razuberii with Turkish Agnora DNA. Seeing that the DNA wasn't all right with her, due to her weak magic, Keru went ahead to try Kyr.

However, something went wrong. Instead of injecting him with the Heron DNA like Takeru wanted, samples of Angel DNA somehow got in the gun, and Kyr was injected with the DNA. Like Razuberii, the DNA wasn't compatible, so Keru and Sora went back to the drawing board.

When Kyr was fourteen, the Mew Project began again, and continued for a year until the threat was removed. Shortly afterwards, he went back in time to attend a year at Hoshizen.

He became a part of The Star Six, and was one of the first mages to come into Cafe Mew Mew in 2004.

Kokoro Days

Drama, drama, drama... drama.... Plum drama... mage drama... more Plum drama... drama... He killed the drama. End of drama there.

More recently, however, Kyr had finally unlocked the cure to his unwanted immortality. This cure, however, caused him to mute his emotions in the public eyes for about two weeks. (Glazed eyes, politeness - it all happened) As a result, however, it appears that Kyr has lost his hate for Ichigo. Kyr claimed that it was worthless to dislike someone, especially when they haven't really done much wrong that can be fixed now.

Kokoro Draft Future

[Kokoro Draft Kyr is basically the counterpart of him in the 'Kokoro' dimension.]

Alternate Futures?

Since Kyr's future isn't in Kokoro Draft, one has to assume that it would be in another universe. Well, this future of him takes place in Chrono, though most likely this is another dimension rift caused by the truth cookie incident that split Kokoro apart from Kokoro Draft. In any case, he marries Plum at some unknown age in his twenties, becomes a dermatologist, and has two children, Akari and Mika. If there are any other details on Kyr's life there, they haven't been made public yet.

Other-Worldly Counterparts

  • America Mew Mew: Kyr in this dimension is pretty much the same as (normal) Kyr, save for the whole disliking Ichigo deal. He's also supposedly just as cheerful as his father in this timeline, existing as the oldest of Ryou and Retasu's two children (or maybe he has Takeru and Razuberii as siblings again. It was never specified.)
  • Kokoro: In Kokoro, Kyr's counterpart is the son of Takaishi Takeru and Hikari. Unlike the other Kyrs, he's rather outspoken, as well as one of the Chosen Children, having Patamon as his partner. Kyr doesn't come to the cafe very much unless forced to by his sister, seeing as the cafe still has a girly reputation among the males of Tokyo.
  • Mirror Mew: Kyr exists in this dimension as Mushi's older brother. They pretty much act alike, except that he has a dislike of Shimarano Kiro, also known among the crowd as the bottomless pit. Mirror's Kyr doesn't hate Kokoro, since he's never really visited it before.

Personality

Upon first glance, Kyr seems to be rather anti-social and distant. Or at least, that's the impression that he gives off to the strangers that he meets. While Kyr isn't actually as anti-social and dramatic as he seems on a first impression, it isn't always obvious. His offers to befriend people often end up in the same matter as his first impressions: it's not obvious to many.

However, Kyr is kind to mostly everybody that he meets. The teenager can't stand to see people who are in need, and to have those needs ignored. So, he often finds himself in situations that he can't solve on his own, often relying on his friends to help him bail out.

Around his friends, Kyr can be quite sarcastic, almost to the point where the resemblance to his father is uncanny. He's also rather cheerful and kind around them as well.

He has inherited an apologetic and clumsy streak from his mother, but they aren't usually shown, as they don't occur often. He has been known to trip over absolutely nothing when he's nervous, or stutter when he's anxious about something and/or doesn't want to go through with something.

Lovelife

  • Akasaka Yoshino: He had a crush on her, and they're in the blushyworks stage. Since Mirror hasn't gone anywhere, it's staying that way, but it is known they have two kids, Misao and Acacia Rose, together.
  • Aoyama Cerise: Cerise is a dear friend of Kyr's, since her parents are also his godparents. The girl has been known to raise his confidence in a way that almost no one else can as well, and it was mostly likely for this reason that Kyr chose her for the Chrono Mew Project, though he would never admit it. After the Mew Project ended, the two still remained good friends, and many people thought that they were going to marry. However, after she met Fujiwara Yama, and he met Plum, all chances seemed to have disappear.
  • Kuroneko Satou: There really isn't much to say about them, except that there is a possibility of the two getting together in an alternate universe. The two are birthday twins otherwise, and seem to get along well, even though they don't interact much.
  • Shimizu Arisa: At first, Kyr was convinced that she was a lunatic, and she hated him in return. They hated each other for quite some time, not wanting much to do with the other. At least, until Kyr became stuck as an angel one day, and that day led to Kyr giving her an offer to speak to her deceased mother. During Christmastime, he surprised her with a kiss, and their relationship slowly bloomed from there. It's true that Kyr loves Arisa, as they are engaged, but he's not around too much these days, causing their relationship to occasionally be at a stand-still.

Artemis

  • It should be noted that Kyr can no longer become Artemis, as he no longer has angel DNA inside of him.

Artemis is Kyr's gijinka form, similar to how Rune is Shuugo's, or Alto is Ryou's. The angel looks like a normal human being, if it weren't for the long white angel wings flowing out from behind. As Artemis is not quite a true angel, he doesn't have the holy mark on his body, or a circle of light constantly surrounding him all the time. Art's wings can be hidden, so he can occasionally give himself the guise of an average eighteen year old. (Artemis always looks two years older than Kyr until Kyr turns around 26) When he's guised as a human, Artemis wears glasses, hides his wings, and wears a black denim jacket on top of his normal outfit.

In battle, Artemis uses a flute, even though Kyr in his normal form has no clue how to play one. His abilities are very similar to Kyr's, but more powerful. This comes at a price, though: Kyr can only be in Artemis's form for an hour, otherwise he's stuck, and has to rely on Shuugo to change him back.

Mage Information

  • Element: Time (He does have some holy magic, but it's weak)

Kyr has now reverted to his original state of being extremely strong in one element. However, because he's been using holy magic as his strength for ages, he's retained some (but not all) of his holy magic abilities. He, obviously, has the ability to teleport people from dimension to dimension, as well as stop, reverse, and accelerate time when he has to. Kyr doesn't go for raw power in battle as Shuu or Dai might, since he doesn't have it. Instead, he prefers to use endurance: he waits until the foe's down, then he strikes.

Weapon

  • Angel Materia: A long silver staff capped with a mysterious foggy white sphere. On the cap, there's a pair of angel wings are attached to the sphere, though they can float when need be.
  • Melodious Wind: A blue-colored flute with silver splashes of paint. [Kyr no longer uses it: he can't play the flute.]

Abilities

  • Healing Touch: Just by touching someone anywhere on their body (Kyr prefers to use the forehead), Kyr can heal any internal wounds and physical wounds on one's body. In battle, the ability can be used in the form of a 'Cura' spell.
  • Shielded Wings: When his wings come out, Kyr can use them as a shield to block magical attacks. Physical attacks will actually cause a great deal of damage to Kyr while he's shielded.
  • Telepathy: Like the other mages, Kyr can read the minds of those closest to him, or those that he chooses to leave his mind open to him. Oddly enough, this ability isn't a strain on him at all, and he can easily block his mind if needed.

Signature Attacks

  • White Feathers: Feathers seemingly come from out of nowhere (in truth, they're probably from his wings, either the ones on his staff or back) and shoot at the foe like rapid-fire.
  • Holy Judgement: After chanting a prayer, Kyr can summon beams of light from the sky to come down at the foe. As they are random, the accuracy isn't as high as a normal spell would be. However, if they hit, it would be more powerful than a normal spell.
  • Barrier: Kyr can soften the effects of magical attacks on himself, as well as physical attacks, with a barrier made from holy light. If he really focuses, the barrier can bounce all attacks back at the foe.
  • Lightbeam: Also known as 'Holy', Kyr shoots a ray of light from either his sphere or his hands out towards the foe.

Unison Attacks

  • Heaven's Cascade: This attack combined Kyr's Angel Tears with Ryou's Aqua Torrent to create a holy stream of water, similarly to Ari's Heavenly Flame attack.
  • Double Heal: Combines Hikari's Cura spell with Kyr's healing abilities. Together, the two can heal massive damage done to their allies with one spell, or perform a more powerful version of a holy element spell.

Stats

  • Strengths: Focus, Mentality
  • Average: Techinque, Defense, Recovery
  • Weaknesses: Offense, Speed,

Trivia

  • Though Kyr shares a birthday with his authoress, he also shares one with Kuroneko Satou as well as her authoress.
  • The DNA Kyr was originally supposed to be injected with has changed over time. At one point in time, it was actually Siamese cat DNA until Saica retconned it because cat DNA was extremely common.
  • Kyr's favorite animal isn't a cat or a fish. Ironically, it's a bird, since he associates freedom with it.
  • Yes, Kyr has a lot of continuity errors - like how the Mew Project was started when he was fourteen, yet he was attending Hoshizen while he was the same age. Blame the authoress's bad thinking?
