History
By 1936, Mexico has nationalized many of the foreign and private companies operating within their borders except the oil industry. Mexico, for the first time in its history is prospering although 'Hero of the Revolution' and President of Mexico Emiliano Zapata has fallen ill. The future of Mexico is unpredictable, as Zapata's first choice for President and Chairman of the Socialist Party, Vicente Lombardo, has enemies from all sides and Marshall Arango is only the first among many who could seize power. Other leaders in the military, perhaps not strong enough individually, are in opposition to both Arango and Zapata. In addition, Mexico also has the world's most unstable great power on its northern border, and the situation in Central America is becoming increasingly tense. These problems will not stop Zapata or his successor from trying to accomplish the goals he left behind, making a strong, independent and stable Mexico.
