Henry Duncan Graham Crerar

Henry Duncan Graham "Harry" Crerar (born on April 28 1888 in Canada) is a Canadian army officer and the current Director of Military Operations & Military Intelligence.
Early Life
Henry Crerar was born on April 28 1888 in Hamilton, Ontario. He attended and graduated from Upper Canada College and Highfield School in Hamilton in 1906 and then went to the Royal Military College of Canada, in Kingston, Ontario. After graduating from the Royal Military College in 1910, he took a position within the Ontario Hydro Electric Commission in Toronto, where he founded the research department in 1912.
Military Career
At the outbreak of the Weltkrieg Henry Crerar joined Canada's First Division as an artillery officer. Later he became counter battery staff officer of the Canadian Corps and he finished the war as a Lieutenant-Colonel.
Unlike most officers, he remained in the army after the war. In 1924 he attended the British Staff College in Camberley, but he was forced to leave in 1925 because of the British Revolution. Since then he held various staff appointments and in 1935 he was appointed as Director of Military Operations & Military Intelligence.
