Background

In the midst of America's financial troubles as well as strife abroad, the climate was ripe for the Labor and Socialist movements. Headed by the gifted Jack Reed, the Combined Syndicates of America is formed in the upper Ohio River Valley, the heart of America's industrial base. It will be formed in the American Civil War, regardless of the circumstances leading up to it.

The CSA is likely to receive support from the Commune of France and possibly the Union of Britain.

The flag of the CSA is the logo of the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) on a black and red diagonal backdrop.

Victory

If the CSA secures victory against the USA and the American Union State, it is presented with a number of issues concerning how Socialist in nature it wishes to be.

The CSA's ultimate goal is to bring the entirety of the United States back under its control, as the Pacific States of America will more than likely occupy the western half of the United States, the Hawaiian state, and Canada's occupation of Alaska and the Panama Canal. It also seeks to create a successful Socialist movement in the United States.

Politics

The CSA is a Socialist government, headed by Jack Reed and other like minded individuals, committed to social equality at all costs. Local power seems to be given to trade unions, inline with Syndicalist thought.

It is approached with membership to the Syndicate International, which will inevitable get it involved in the Second World War. It is up to the player whether to accept the invitation or to focus on the reconstruction of the United States

Economy

The heart of the CSA is located in the upper midwest, and is home to a wide array of resources and well-developed areas. Once it controls the United States entirely, it will have the considerable riches of the US under its control. This will give it the possibility to have one of the largest, if not the largest, Industrial Capacity in the game.

Military

The Civil War gives the CSA a number of units to begin with, most of which are either rag-tag militias or friendly members of the US Military. The units available to be constructed are identical to that of the US's.
