I will use this page to track my progress for an issue of NassauNews.org, covering small business in the area of Hempstead that have gone above and beyond with their success.  I plan to investigate the successes of several individuals that have had skyrocketing success since their starts.  With a few in mind, I have begun my investigation.  Wayne Chrebet, former NFL player and Hofstra alum, has obvious fame through the NFL, but now has bought out a bar on the Hempstead Turnpike and named it after himself, turning it into a sports bar and restaurant.  Will Castro, owner of Unique Auto Sport, had his start on the Hempstead Turnpike, as well.  He now has his own TV show on Speed TV and works on cars of the rich and famous.

After speaking to these individuals and others I may come across, I plan to take a look at other small businesses that have potential to make it big.  There are many groups that support small businesses around the area, and with their help, I hope to find some places that could have the success the Mr. Chrebet and Castro have found.  I hope that through interviewing these individuals, I can obtain some advice for these small businesses that are eager to get more popularity.
