Music In Hempstead, NY
The Importance of music to a local county --(such)-- as Nassau....
Proposal: It’s the beat of a new day, the rhythm in your step, and the vibe that keeps you moving to and from. It is music, a motivating component in most people’s daily lives, often keeping kids in school and out of the streets. Seldom do many realize that music programs can be the motivat(ion) that saves many lives. Nassau County funds an initiative to save the music.(whats it called) I plan to find out how the NYSSMA,(and? are these two the same) the Nassau Music Educators Association, views (views may be the incorrect word here) music to an area like Hempstead vs. Garden City. For example, does it have anything to do with demographic of Long Island? How are students benefiting from it? etc. I emailed the (p)resident of the (o)rganization, Anissa Gonenn – Herricks for more information.
“The Nassau Music Educators Association is made up of professional music educators and advocates of music education. It exists to support music as a vital component in the complete education of every child. Located on Long Island, New York, NMEA sponsors and organizes performance festival opportunities for the students of Nassau County and offers workshops and clinics for its membership.”

(Good topic, but try to keep it hyper local. I would focus more on Garden City Hempstead and less on Long Island.)
