I dont know what it is but there are some odors that bring back happy memories and one may be the whiff of a freshly baked cookie. I dont have an especially sweet tooth and can survive without cakes or sweets but once I'm struck by that cookie smell I'm taken up to a and wonderful place. I would like to benefit from the dessert all on my own, personal and find myself a quiet place with a cup of my favourite coffee and prepare to stay heaven.
It isnt only eating a freshly baked cookie that's pleasant but making them can be very rewarding too. Cookie cooking can be great fun when you have small children and that's probably where some of my earliest dessert thoughts come from. I remember before she set them in the oven just how much I loved helping my mom then shape them on a baking dish and mix all the dessert elements together. I felt therefore special when she let me lick the mixing bowl clear of the cookie mixture also! Anyway, initially I suggested that my daughter could help me make some cookies she was about four years of age and her small face lit up. A mess was made quite by us I must certanly be honest but we really had a good time together and the snacks didnt come out all that bad either.
