What do I need to run JMRI?
The short answer is: "Not a lot!" - The list below is intended to give you an idea of what to expect:
1. Reports tell us that Decoderpro will run perfectly happily on a Pentium@166Mhz with 128Mb ram. However, it takes a *long* time (often in excess of 30 seconds) for it to start and this should be considered as the absolute minimum needed.
2. Panelpro appears to need a little more 'horsepower' - ie, a machine built in this millenium would be preferable to one from the previous century!
3. You will also need some way for your computer to communicate with the railroad - General consensus is that the Locobuffer is a great way to go.
