The NXT TakeOver series of professional wrestling shows started on May 29, 2014, as the WIW developmental league NGW billed as NGW TakeOver. "TakeOver" moniker became the brand used by NGW and WIW for all of their NGW live specials as they held NGW Takeover: Fatal 4-Way, Takeover: Our Revolution, NGW Takeover: Big Rivals and NGW Takeover: Unstoppable Force.
