Apocalypse, originally titled March to SuperBrawl: Live from Bozeman will feature professional wrestling matches that involved wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines that play out on WIW's primary television programs, Rage and ShowDown. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series matches.
At Free Falling, Martin McAlmond defeated Matt Borske and Chris LeGreca to retain the WIW World Heavyweight Championship. On the On the March 1 episode of Rage, Borske challenged McAlmond to a rematch but was confronted by LeGreca, who wanted another match for the title, they were confronted by McAlmond who announced that Borske would face LeGreca with the winner facing him for the title. Later that night, Borske defeated LeGreca after Jon Rispens and The Family attacked LeGreca, as Kevin McAlmond attacked Borske, Borske and Kevin McAlmond brawled through the arena before Martin McAlmond assaulted Borske putting him through the windshield of a vehicle. The following day on WIW's facebook, it was announced that the match would take place at Apocalypse.
On the March 5 episode of NGW, it was announced that NGW Tag Team Champions The Hawaiian Blondes (Ben Wilson and Kody Baker) would defend the titles against The Hopkins and Kooper McAlmond and John Marshall in a Tag team triple threat match at Apocalypse.
At World War, Chris LaGreca eliminated the entire Rispens Family from the World War match. However, the group would assault LeGreca after the match and aid, Rispens in eliminating LeGreca. On the March 1, episode of Raw, Jon Rispens cost LeGreca a shot at the WIW World Heavyweight Championship. On the March 4 episode of ShowDown, a match between LeGreca and Rispens was announced for Apocalypse.
On the March 8 episode of Rage, The Authority of Wrestling (Daniel Gonzalez and James Masterson), The Enterprise (Dustin Simpson and James Burdick) and Wright of Storm (Scott Wright and Harlan Storm) competed in a no 1 contenders match for a shot at the WIW Tag Team Championship before The Doomsday attacked the three teams. Later that night, Rex Martin announced that the Doomsday would defend the WIW Tag Team Championship against all three teams in a Fatal 4-way tag team elimination match at Apocalypse.
On the March 11 episode of ShowDown, Tia George attacked Ashley Holshue after her match, challenging her to a match at Apocalypse, George told Holshue that she was tired of behind held down. Later that night, Holshue accepted George's challenge adding that if George could beat her she could be added to the Divas Championship match at SuperBrawl VIII. The following day, the match was made official for the event.
