AEW is a Efed professional wrestling promotion based in Atlanta, Georgia. Title reigns are either determined by professional wrestling matches or are awarded to a wrestler, as a result of the culmination of various scripted storylines. Currently there are four active singles championships, one active tag team championship, and a championship for the female wrestlers. Seven wrestlers currently hold the championships. The list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win, and a description of the winning bout. The following is correct as of September 30, 2012.
At the top of AEW's championship hierarchy, the AEW Championship is currently Vacant after Gunner retired from professional wrestling at The Last Stand on March 16, 2015.
The two secondary titles in AEW are the AEW Intercontinental Championship and the AEW Television Championship. The current Intercontinental Champion is Hiroshi Tanahashi, who is in his first reign after defeating Cesaro at The Last Stand on March 16, 2015.. Knux is in his first reign as Television Champion, after the title was Vacanted by Chris Hero due to injury, Knux won Feast or Fired and the title was inside the briefcase.
The third singles title in AEW is for the Light Heavyweights is the AEW Light Heavyweight Championship, the current Light Heavyweight Champion Adrian Neville who is the first reign as champion after defeating Petey Williams at Concussion: London Tour on June 9, 2014.
The AEW Tag Team Championship is held by The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) after defeating Matt Sydal and Chris Sabin, The Miz and Austin Aries and the previous champions, reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) in a Fatal four way tag team match at The Last Stand on March 16, 2015. This are both mens first reign as Tag Team Champions as a tag team and single wise.
There is two championship that is challenged by female wrestlers, The AEW Women's Championship and the AEW Women's United States Championship. AJ Lee is presently in her first reign as AEW Starlets Champion as a result of defeating efeated Maryse at Mayhem on May 26, 2014. And the current Starlets United States Champion is Havok on her first reign as the Champion, who defeated Eve Gracie in a Steel Cage match November 30, 2014 at No Escape.
