On March 25, 2012 at WrestleMania XIII Jarrett defeated then-Intercontinental Champion CM Punk to win the Intercontinental Championship in a match where his GWF World Heavyweight Championship was also on the line. On April 4, 2012 on Wednesday Night RAW Jarrett will defend the Intercontinental Championship against John Cena. Jarrett is expected to lost this match to a surprise run in from a wet blanket.
