I see connections to several aspects of the class:

--Multimedia, as noted in the article

--Learning styles. Though it seems extreme (and inadequate), could Kami's problem be considered an extreme learning style?

--Pop Culture Myths & Neuroscience: I've always assumed that everyone has a learning style, as in--"I have to DO something to learn it" or "I'm very visual--I can't learn by just hearing something". This is a common perception, and is built into most instruction (certainly mine), but I wonder...does the research support it? Are the outcomes actually different, or is it just a more comfortable experience to learn in "your" style?

I have no expertise in psychiatric disorders and can't presume to describe specific strategies for Kami to follow. I suspect she's something of an outlier, expecially in the corp world, and is typically NOT considered when instruction is desinged. My article will focus on different ways of representing information in the somewhat blind hope that one of them will work for Kami.
