Tientsin-Isle is the first arrondissement of Tientsin-Fort Bayart', It has not to be confused with Grand Tientsin wich is the metropolitan area of Fort Bayart. It has been created in 1958 witht the fusion of the 3 arrondissements of Fort Bayart-Ville, Tai Po and Basse Isle (lower island). The particularity of the arrondissement of Tientsin Isle is there is no Sub Prefect, it's role is played my the mayor of Fort Bayart and the Tientsin Isle Consil.
The arrondissement of Tientsin Isle is divided into 7 cities:
1 :Fort Bayart,2:Roc-a-Pic 3: Tai Po, 4:Shai Pek, 5:Kennedy-Ville, 6:Sainte Genevieve,7: Saint George
Today the urban sprawl has made the territory of Tientsin Isle less effective. That's why many policians try to project a new administrative subdivision that would cover the whole metropolitan area to make effective public projects.
