Dongfeng Town (东凤镇)is a city of sub-provincial administrative status in southern China's Guangdong province, situated immediately north of Tientsin Fort-Bayart. Owing to China's economic liberalization from the policies of reformist leader Deng Xiaoping, the area became one China's first Special Economic Zone.

History

A small fishing village has been choosen in 1981 to be a SEZ, following the Shenzhen's example, Dongsheng fastly grown and attract many tientsinese investissor. First a mostly industrial town, now Dongsheng is becoming a vibrant economic place.

Geography

Bordering the city of La Ronge, capital of the New Camargua Canton, the city has a large shore opening on the Chinese Sea.
