The Franc-Tientsin (sign : FrT or Fr , code : FRT) is the currency of the Special Administrative Region of Tientsin-Fort Bayart.
History
After WWII, as all the French pacific territories, Tientsin-Fort Bayart adoped the Franc Pacifique. In 1998,with the sovreignty transfer, the Franc Tientsin was created. The currency is under the control of the Banque de Tientsin(Tientsin Bank), who issued all the coins and banknotes.
Coins
The coins are issued in 10FrT, 5FrT, 2FrT, 1FrT, 20Centime, 10Centime and 1Centime denominations. The 5FrT coin is relativily new, isued in 2000.
A new design has been issued in 2008.
