Castillo Viejo
Castillo Viejo is the old part of Santaleon named after the old castle that the Spanish built. It is the oldest part of the city and one of the largest and well preserved colonial centers in Latin America. The old city is dominated by the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Paz (Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace) and the Castillo Real.
