Hoodlum'the hat fucker' has been described as the band's 'only constant', as Hoodash Chittolo was a project which involved many people to greatly varying degrees - the number of individuals who have made contributions to this project would likely be in excess of 100.

With 60 albums, and over 79 hours of music recorded, it's fairly safe to award Hoodash Chittolo the title of most prolific ISM act. The band was a major influence over ISM in general, too, and coincided with the popularisation of ISM, although Hoodlum's unwillingness to distribute the albums (with the exceptions of Teh Wheat LP and El Greatest Hittolo) in full led to diminished popularity. Hoodash Chittolo is also notable for bizarre, long and complex song titles.

Hoodash Chittolo was formed in August 2003, and disbanded by the end of 2005. In 2006 Hoodlum formed The Cork Examiner, and has also been a member of The Nihilist Trio.
