hi, basically this EP was recorded last nite by me and a friend of mine called Alex, we were going to use an abandoned library but actually find some other abandoned room that worked out better (tho it sounds less cool)...to make note for all this abandoned stuff he lives in this hall of residence which is going to be knocked down soon so it's not all full..

gizmo wise well, funny thing is it wasn't AS gizmo centric as I imagined, but there's still some strange experiments...but it's like half gizmodded and the other half sort of poppy acoustic stuff (with gizmo touches in most cases)

it's really apt this is coming out on halloween because I threw in some cool refs to certain horror things...

basically before each song I would say 'ok this song is gonna be about jigsaw' (for example) and then we'd just jam on it with me freestyling lyrics and him whatever instrumentation he was using...I added subtle keyboard/gizmo/electronic touches to whatever and well that's our sound.

I dont think yule think much of this but I dunno hopefully yule appreciate some of the song ideas and lyrics I threw out as well as some of the stuff we were messing with

as for the EP title well I dont know, this ref to jigsaw and the ending song (which I didnt think of at the time but later realised damn I musta subconsciously had the film 'THE GAME' on my mind) but on top of that i guess it's like an escapey type thing too escaping into games and then for some of the songs that feeling of being stuck and trapped ...CHECK MATE...I just felt like it summed most of it up all the things at play.
