Afrowithchinstraps was once commander of many ships, and many acres of beautiful land far away from the current world of islands that he currently inhabits. He was betrayed by his comrades, his fleet destroyed, and he was sent away on a ship with no sail to starve to death at sea. One day, which might otherwise have been his last, his ship caught a current the likes of which had never been seen. This current was so swift that it carried him far away from the known lands of the time, and finally beached him on an island. But this was not to be the first miracle that Afro would experience.

A few days after his arrival on this small but rich island, a package fell from the sky. A crate crashed to the ground, followed by a billowing sheet of cloth. This crate contained many strange devices. After much tinkering with things we now know as batteries and cassette tapes, Afro was able to assemble a device that would change his life forever. He called it a Ghetto Blaster.

Afro listened for hours to the glorious music of a lost era many ages ago, which he calls "The 70s". Hours of music turned into days, and then into weeks of pounding disco jams. Exposure to such music not only made him one funky soul viking, but magically caused his hair to mutate from Nordic blond ropes into a kinky black blowout. This fearsome configuration he called an "afro".

The batteries have long since died, and the Ghetto Blaster has been consumed by the salt spray of the sea, the fearsome 'fro continues to strike fear and respect into all that see it...
