Wars are won with warships. They carry your armies to the island of destination, but are unable to transport resources.

Note: These ships cannot transport Catapults
Strategy
Although often overshadowed by their larger cousins, Small Warships can be built fairly early and are the fastest building of any ship type. This and their high speed makes them ideal for Espionage. They are also useful to transport Stone Throwers between islands. Small Warships carrying Archers or Spearfighters are only 88% as powerful per gold spent as Large Warships.* They should not be relied upon for your main attack fleet, but can provide a useful supplementary force in addition to their utilitarian role.
- (5 Archers + 1 LWS = 500 atk+def for 900 gold or .556 power/gold; 2 Archers + 1 SMS = 220 atk+def for 450 gold or .489 power/gold)
