Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

Banda Aceh’s Grand Mosque was built around the 12th century. The mosque was burnt down at the beginning of the Aceh War and was later rebuilt taking its present shape after a number of renovations and expansions. At night, the huge white structure and its black domes are illuminated.
