-- TICI has the unique ability to assist visiting students and scholars of Indonesian politics, culture, religion, and history. We understand that many researchers are deterred from coming to Indonesia due to practical concerns such as research permits, language difficulties, and housing. We hope to alleviate such concerns and therefore provide access to Indonesia for all interested individuals.

-- At TICI, our work begins before participants depart for Indonesia. We maintain close contact with our guests in order to gain an understanding of each individual’s objectives and project requirements. We assist with visa and housing arrangements, contact collaborating institutions, and provide bilingual research assistants. Upon arrival, participants will find our professional staff well-equipped to assist them in whatever means are required. For instance, we can connect researchers with NGOs, academics and other organizations that are relevant to their research. We can also arrange trips for either research or pleasure to areas outside of Java, including Aceh, Lombok, and Bali.
