Appearance
With her milk-and-honey looks, no one would suspect Genevieve of being either selfish or intelligent. She takes after her mother in almost all ways. Her skin has that translucence about it that drives most girls to insanity trying to obtain. Her heart-shaped face, complete with full lips, delicate eyes, the works, is beguiling to many a boy. Her eyes are brown flecked with darker shades. Genevieve is about five foot seven and slender. Chestnut tendrils fall to her shoulders.
Personality
Genevieve is a social butterfly. She is pretty and popular and KNOWS it. The brunette can always be counted on to find the nearest cute boys and start flirtingeven if they have already been spoken for. As a child, she was spoiled atrociously and retains the attitude that what she wants, she gets. On the same vein, the moment she gets bored, the person, idea, outfit she is currently interested in gets dropped and she moves on to greener pastures. Not only is she a flirt, but Genevieve is also a huge gossip, listening in on every conversation she thinks might be a tad bit interesting. Unless she sees an obvious advantage for herself or friends, she wont maliciously tell everyone what shes heard, however. She is not, for the most part, malicious at all, merely self absorbed. Her favorite topics include: herself, clothes, boys, and her best girlfriends.
When it comes to friends, Genevieve has a few, really close friends shed never betray, but everyone else is just a stepping stone to furthering her own goals. If it pays to be nice, shell be the nicest person youve ever met. Occasionally she will be even if there is nothing in it for her, if the mood strikes her. Were someone to cross her or her loved ones, however, there would be all hell to pay. Gossip and popularity influence are this girls best friends when it comes to ruining someone. Despite her air-headed appearance, Genevieve is actually quite intelligent, and magically skilled, so not many actually attempt crossing her.
Where school is concerned, Genevieve is actually very dedicatedat least in the subjects she deems worthy. Who needs Arithmacy, any way? Its not like shes ever going to have to work in such a demeaning field. Things like charms, dancing and playing her violin, now those will come in handy some day.
History
Genevieve Emeline was born to Claude and Jacqueline (Vasser) Bellamont, the only daughter and youngest child of the two wealthy purebloods. She had a happy childhood, filled with toys and laughter. Her parents and siblings spoiled her atrociously, but she never came to be a brat. Gen was given the best of tutors before attending Beauxbaton., who taught her the basics of music, drawing, and etiquette, everything a fine lady must learn if she wants to make a good marriage. To their surprise, however, their girl quickly became an accomplished violinist, coming to love the instrument like she hadn't loved anything else. Naturally, they provided her with all the instruction she wanted. Unfortunately, this has given her the idea of pursuing a career with it. For a daughter of the Bellamont family, this is considered rebellion from the type of life they had planned for her.
Marriage
Genevieve has known since she was young that that was all she was expected to do in life. It didn't bother her the way it did with some of her playmates. If it meant learning fun things and being pampered, she was all for it. To a point. She hated some of the old, rich men her parents paraded her in front of, and was actually relieved when they told her that they had found her a boy her age of the proper qualifications. She was even more relieved when she actually knew the boy: Bambi Moreau. A little eccentric, but much more preferable than anyone else she had seen. Plus, he had a love of her own instrument and a lovely singing voice besides. Living with him when she graduated would not be tortuous. Her parents had almost overlooked him, because of a infirmity, but his family was of good quality, and the boy himself made a good impression. However, just because she was now betrothed, Genevieve didn't see any reason to stop seeing other boys. Why deprive them and her of some fun? Bambi didn't seem to mind, either, for which she was greatly relived. How inconvenient it would be to marry a jealous man.
This continued until one of her brothers found her and a boy who was not her betrothed in a rather compromising situation. Her parents were scandalized, and feared that the Moreaus might call off the marriage if they discovered just how promiscuous their daughter was, or worse, that she would manage to get herself in an even more compromising situation before her nuptials after her graduation. Claude quickly contacted the family of the boy. For some reason unknown to Genevieve, they were willing to accept a quick marriage as well. So in the summer of 1994, she became Genevieve Moreau. It was very fast, Gen not even being told until two weeks before that her wedding had moved up two years. She still retains her maiden name of Bellamont for many reasons. Among them being that she and Bambi do not live as man and wife, nor do they particularly want to. Almost no one at Beauxbaton knows about her nuptials (though they are confused about why Bambi hangs around more than he used to), so she still retains her attitude when it comes to boys.
