The Dark Army is the main antagonist group during the Hylian War. Although, the army itself is comprised of many groups under the same goal; the domination of Hyrule. At least, that's what the majority of the army believes. It's true goal is much more sinister.
[edit] Leadership
The organization is let by ten beings collectively known as the Besutoten. They give orders from atop a group of thrones at their main base, Tantari Rock. Each of the ten commands at least one amazing power, and all of them demand respect from their followers. Only five of these men have been shown thus far, and only four named:
- Jormund Gobi
- Sovelis
- Cormoros
- Uka
- Unnamed, grotesque being.
All of them have been shown to have a large amount of skill and power. Jormund Gobi is over 200 years old and is borderline invincible. Sovelis has the collective power and wisdom of all the tempests. Cormoros is literally immortal, as his body is a patchwork of corpses and he can project his soul to another vessel after he "dies". Uka is very athletic and resistant to most damage, taking fire blasts head-on unharmed. The last one has not been shown in combat, but he was skilled enough to paralyze Yassen physically and mentally.
Each of the ten generals has at least one subordinate that they can trust as a bodyguard and a loyal man. Only one of these kurome have appeared so far: Uka's.
After that, The rankings in the army seem to fall at random, though Great Darknuts usually hold a high rank as personal guards and elite soldiers. Any being in the army can progress through skill shown in battle. The Generals attained their rank through many means; their power, their ferociousness, and their habit of not holding back in a fight.

Several different groups have sworn their allegiance to the Dark Army. These include O.C.W, a task force assembled by Lord Cerberus, and members of the gang that utilize a rabbit's foot as their insignia.
