Sakiko is infamous for her cold manners and rather detached attitude towards others. It must be said that this certain personality has been due to her rather tragic past. However, she is trustworthy and values friendships - rather too much.
History
Very little is known of Sakiko's past. This can be blamed by the fact that Sakiko never enjoyed thinking about her past memories, and thus naturally, she forgot almost everything of her childhood. However, what is known is that Sakiko had an aunt named Opegaria. She had been abandoned at birth by her parents, who considered her a burden to their career of theft and serving the darkness. Opegaria was a kind mage, who took on Sakiko as her own. She wanted Sakiko to live a life of a mage, and clearly disapproved of thieves, particularly because her parents were one. Sakiko had no interest in being a scholarly mage, and took queer interest in plants and herbs. However, she allowed her aunt to teach a bit of magic, and thus she was introduced to the world of spells.
One fateful day, a small but extinguishable fire was lit from cooking. Sakiko was alone in the house, and thought that she could put it out quickly. However, her spell was the wrong one, and only strengthened the fire to a deadly blaze. Opegaria managed to jump in the scene in time and save her niece, but was unable to save herself. Sakiko thus developed a fear of fire, and ran away from home. (She later conquered this fear with the help of Sovelis.)
Visiting from town to town, but never settling down at one place, Sakiko devoted herself to magic, and was determined to become a mage.
Sakiko blamed this on herself, and thought that too close of a relationship with others would only bring harm upon them. Thus, she gained this cold and unfeeling attitude, which became natural in time.
Zapheta
Zapheta is a bard from Sakiko's past. She goes by the nickname Zeze. According to her, these two had grown up as intimate childhood friends. When Sakiko had run away from home, the bard followed the mage, and finally met her after 10 years. Wild and cheerful, she can be put as a complete opposite of Sakiko. However, she is determined as ever - however much she likes to party - to bring back Sakiko's memory. She claims that Sakiko had once been a very cheerful and loving kind of girl, with many friends. Zeze laments of Sakiko's new personality, but sticks by the mage like parasite, anyways.
She has a twin brother by the name of Masakazu. Masakazu and Sakiko had once been in love as children, but now that Sakiko had forgotten her past and her feeling with it, she cannot regain her affection. Masakazu, however, is not discouraged. He promises to remain Sakiko's good friend, and only awaits the day when Sakiko will regain her memory.
Personality and Appearance
Sakiko is very, very pale. She has long, silver hair, which is usually tucked inside the usual cotton robe that she wears. Not too fashionable or glamorous, Sakiko believes in simplicity and modesty. Her eyes are the most prominent feature, however. They have a tendency to change color according to her moods. The happier she is, the more lighter the shade of silver they become. When angry, her eyes turn onyx black. She also has an unusual body temperature, and is very cold - thus, she doesn't mind the cold winter months, and she enjoys being in freezing temperatures.
She also enjoys solitude and books, and collecting herbs. However, she is usually accompanied by Zeze and Arrika. Although she never shows much affection for her friends, Sakiko cares for them deep inside. She is rather awkward with expressing her feelings, and the result usually comes out in a negative way. Her meeting with Arrika was rather negative, but she and the Sheikah became very good friends. Sakiko disapproves of Arrika's affinity to theft - Opegaria's teachings coming into action here - but chooses to ignore this usually.
