Magic is an everyday thing in the world of Hyrule, almost everyone uses it, in different ways. There are various ways of using magic. For example, Sovelis, a tempest, has magic power stored inside of himself, and can use it anytime. Denkou, however, does not, and uses scrolls to utilize magic. There are numerous other ways as well, some more common than others.

Types of magic

Magic falls under three main categories, defense, attack, and misc. Defense magic, such as shield and life, are rather rare, with most spells just advanced versions of others. Attack magic is far more common, and utilizes primarily the elements to assault an enemy. Some attack magic can be used for defense, if necessary. Misc magic is common, fairy is a prime example of it.

Magic users

Almost every adventure can use Hyrule, with only a few exceptions, even characters who are strictly fighters will use spells on occasion. Magic falls into six basic elements, Fire, Water, Nature, Earth, Shadow, and Light, with sub-elements available, such as wind.

Certain races in Hyrule, having unique abilities, have natural spells at their disposal. Deku, for example, can shoot seeds.
