Every character in Hyrule belongs to a race, with Hylian and Shiekah being the majority in hyrule. The race of a character defines what abilities it may have, its hometown, and other things.
There are 8 races, 7 are playable.
Races
Hylian- the major race in hyrule.
Shiekah- second-most popular, a race of shadows.
Rito are not playable, although they do feature prominently.
