Ranks Among the Tempests

The lowest level one can be. These Tempests-in-training are mostly young, beginning their training at age sixteen of so. They have gone through the ritual that opens the mind, and gathers one strength, but they aren't considered Tempests yet

Next in line, these are the Ja'hal who passed the first half of training.

This is the lowest rank among those who have become a Tempest. Although they are either newly commended Tempests, or those who haven't taken the first trial, they are still respected and most teach the new Ja'hal.

The midground in the ranks. They are the ones whom have passed and survived the first trial. These are normally the ones who teach the advance classes, and do patrol duty among several of the worlds that know of the Order.

These are the most well-trained Tempests who have taken the Second Trial. They patrol worlds that are either at high risk, or are rather difficult to enter due to some sort of barrier.

Honored Council member, or any other Tempest who has been in the order more than five-hundred years (Standard Years-256 Days) Their are several council members, not including the High Lord.

Honored Lord, The High Lord of the Order of the Tempests. The current holder of this title, [[Sovelis|Sovelis Magalion Le'ano Liadon]], only holds this title due to the fact that he is the Last Tempest, and the previous High Lord passed the title, along with the powers of the High Seat, on to him. All High Lords, upon naming a new Lord, pass on the Memories of all previous High Lords to the new Lord, including his own memories. These memories are not stored DIRECTLY within the new lord, but in his aura, allowing him to learn of the past, and ask any of the other High Lords for Advice.

The Titles of the Masters. All but a few are Council positions

[edit] Do'sama Tal Sho'pa The Master of Forging:

This title is given to the Tempest whom presides over the foundries of the Tempest, where all armor and weapons are crafted for the Order. Is chosen by the High Lord. Sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sama Tal Ya'kal The Master of Blades:

The Title given to the Tempest whom has the most skill with all forms of armed combat that have been developed over the eons by the Order. Teaches students on combat. Once every fifty years, a new Master of Blades is chosen. A Tournament is held to decide who is to take this title, although, most of the time, the same Master has won, until he is defeated, usually after two or three tournaments. This is the only Title that is passed on this way. Sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sam Tal Jar'aka The Master of Students:

The Title of the Head instructor that teaches all Tempests-in-Training. This title is debated and voted on by all who hold the rank of Sa'hal or higher. Sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sam Tal ci Ho'rika The Master of the Archive:

The Tempest whom presides over the Grand Library, the repository of all knowledge collected by the Tempest. Is Chosen by the rest of the council, and sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sama Tal ci Kla'as The Master of the Guard:

Head of defenses for all outposts and the Stronghold of the Order. Chosen by the Master of Blades, Student, Forging, and the High Lord. Sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sama Tal Ho'lapa The Master of Traveling:

Oversees all missions to any outside worlds. Has an entire staff to assist. Chosen by the High Lord, and sits on the council.

[edit] Do'sama Tal Sha'hal The Master of Tempests:

Oversees all other Masters and the council. Answers only to the High Lord. Head of the Council.

[edit] Do'sama Tal ci Ham'as The Master of the Home:

Oversees the living quarters of the Stronghold, Discipline, and the Kitchens. Is chosen by the entire council & the High Lord.

[edit] Do'sama Tal Kalma'a The Master of Recruits:

Is in charge of ensuring that the ranks among the Order do not grow too thin. He and his staff visit worlds, and bring back any promising candidates. Is chosen by the entire council and the High Lord.

[NOTE:] Not all Tempests are men. Three of the past Council members were women, before the end of the order...
