Link is a backstage character in HA2. The hero never actually appears, but is mentioned and talked of often.

The hero, Link, is the one who defeated Ganon and freed Hyrule from the beast's evil grasp. His story after that involves him exploring the various Dungeons of Hyrule, and eventually fighting his own doppleganger to obtain the Triforce of Courage. After this victory, Link left Hyrule on a journey.
