Second Season
I wanted to clear up something. Mondo Media has expressed that a second season can not, and will not, be made without a partner in the United States, and that partner is currently nowhere to be found. Mondo Media has shopped around; they tried G4 again, and they tried asking around other networks, but they’re nowhere near finding a deal, so the second season isn’t “very possible”, despite what this article has said. Mondo Media would love to do a second season, but the industry can be cruel, and I just wanted to set the record straight. It was Ken’s idea to make the second season petition topic, and he even tried to make a topic asking users which networks they think HTF should be on, though all of the endeavors so far have not yielded any substantial fruit.
I admire your optimism, though I think that the comments regarding the second season need to be made a bit more realistic. I’ve been working hard to promote Happy Tree Friends and to try to get people to sign the petition, amongst other things, and I wish people would take the time to realize that the second season isn’t guaranteed. The fans will have to work to make it happen. I know you were only joking around on ED, but you made a mockery out of the second season petition topic, though John Evershed himself was going to use that petition in a meeting to try to convince network executives that the second season was worth it, though the fans failed to answer the call of duty. The fans failed to stand up and do their part to get a second season, and if there isn't a second season, we fans are to blame. Dominus 19:14, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
- I'd love to see a second season. Hell, I'd love to help make the second season. I would like to be optimistic, but until HTF ratings go up, it's just not going to happen.-SM
- The "ratings" can't go up, as the show isn't on TV anymore. However, even though the show got decent ratings when they aired it at reasonable hours, the show's late night timeslot got horrible ratings, which is likely the reason [Adult Swim] wasn't too interested in it. - I see where you're coming from, Dominus, but shouldn't DVD sales play any part in the fact of whether there will or will not be a Second Season? I know that Futurama and Family Guy were able to ressurect themselves by DVDs, so why not Happy Tree Friends? I think what I'm trying to say is going back to the fact of what you mentioned, that if a Second Season is not created, then it is mainly because of the lack of fan's support.Gage 20:43, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
