Heroes of Legend or HoL as it is known to fans is a forum-based roleplaying game created on Febuary 10th, 2005 by Richard Maytidu, also known as Lunarshadow.

Rules
The rules of HoL are quite simple and are as follows:
- Be creative in your posts. Typing "I run forwardand strike swiftly with all of my strength" is a big difference over "I cut him with my sword".
- All out of character disscusion belongs in the OOC topics. Exception can be made if you type one line within an in-character post.
- I have the right to edit and delete your posts. Do not force me to use this right, you will regret it.
- Keep the dirty language to a minimum. I don't mind it once in a while, just don't go overboard.
- Keep it readable. I'm not asking for much, just use common sence and take an extra minute or two to type your reply.
- When in a fight. Only post during your turn. It will be deleted if it isn't.
- If you god-mod, then I will. Believe me, it won't be pretty.
- Your character can only be in one place at one time. If you leave an area, you must say so in your post. You don't have to say specifically were you are going, just say that you left.
Other than that, use the generally accepted forum rules, i.e. no double posting, flaming, etc. Thanks for chooseing HoL for your RPG needs, and I hope you have a good time!

Richard gained inspiration to created HoL through a number of sources. All of these mostly come from various video games and comics. Some examples are:
