Kemmerich is the middle "son" of Malvado and lead villain for most of the Rise of Malvado story arc. He starts off as a calm and devious mastermind, but slowly evolves into a suicidal, homicidal, genocidal madman. He was born with a mastery of flames. It is unknown how he received this trait. He is also a hemophiliac.

[edit] Childhood
Very much is unknown about Kemmerich's childhood. All that is known is that a piece of Malvado's soul that escaped from The Legendary Five found it's way into an unborn baby and granted it gifts. Kemmerich remembers growing up with his younger brother and sister, Ashton and Rosaline, and his older brother Zaphod. Even though they may or may not technically be related, they all share the same dark red eye color.
They grew up in the abandoned Destino Castle. Zaphod worked for the local mafia to earn money, but would not let his brothers and sister help. Kemmerich learned of his Fire Mastery when an enemy of the mafia came looking for Zaphod. He was often sick as a child and had to be treated by Rosaline. He looked up to his older brother and dearly loved his younger sister, but always felt contempt to his younger brother due to his arrogance and blood lust.
When he was 12 he discovered the corpse of his father in a room on the highest floor of the castle. He then discovered more about himself and his purpose. He thought that if he could revive his father, he could gain some meaning to his existence. He was able to convince his younger siblings to help, but unable to sway Zaphod, who was now working as a legit mercenary. He wanted no part in Kemmerich's plans, which involved sacrificing innocent people. He left home, sending money to his sibling whenever possible.
[edit] During RPG
Kemmerich first appeared during the Raging Fire. He uses the fire burning the field to draw out his brother's killers. He then summons fire Elementals to attack them. During the battle he gives 17 Fire abilities and orders him to fight.
Kemmerich told many lies about his plans. He told Raiden that he wants to save the world and told Sylva a story about his mother to try and convince him to join his fight. He would often speak about his father as if he was still alive, but it was merely Malvado's influence inside his mind telling him these things.
Soon after convincing Raiden to join him, Rosaline became suspicious of his actions. She came to believe that Kemmerich was planning on killing her as a sacrifice to Malvado. She seduced Raiden into joining her against Kemmerich. Kemmerich got her to turn against Raiden by revealing that he was responsible for the death of her twin brother Ashton.
He later led an attack on the Three Guilds using mind controlled bandits and fire Golems of his own creation. He also had a secret weapon, his older brother Zaphod under the same spell as the bandits. He eventually retreated after heavy losses and the Guildmasters prepared to strike him.
Vein and Nigata tried to trick him into trusting them, but failed. He used Tjaden to get rid of them, locking Vein inside the Pas Vys(Dark Room). The group of Sylva, Raiden, Nigata, and Velena then started their strike. The moment they got the upper hand Kemmerich tried to distract them by killing Tjaden. The attack was blocked by Zaphod, who was fatally wounded.
In desperation Kemmerich ran to kill Rosaline early. He was again stopped and Sylva was able to rescue Rosaline. She recovered from a potion and ran to Kemmerich. He stopped fighting and ran, Rosaline believed it had something to do with an exaggerated idea of her power that Kemmerich had, but it was actually the little humanity he had left holding back.
Once inside the Citadel the final strike began. Now with 17 on there side, the group was prepared to win. Kemmerich was no longer Kemmerich. He had given almost his whole body to Malvado, who had grown stronger from the presence of the Elementum Stones. After a brief dialog about greed, he locks them all in cages made of fire. Sylva breaks his cage after drinking the Elixir he received from Fredrich. Sylva then fought Kemmerich, nearly destroying him. Kemmerich then caused his blood to evaporate, giving him the same effects as Fredrich's potion, but for a shorter time. Even his clothes changed, making him look like a traditional Infernomancer. His time ran out before he could kill Sylva, so he killed himself, awakening Malvado.
Later it was revealed that Kemmerich wasn't dead, but close to it. Sylva gave him what was left of the Elixir, which made the real Kemmerich wake up. He used the moments he had left to weaken Malvado. With his last words he apologized to all he hurt especially Rosaline, told Sylva that he wanted to fight him for real, and told Raiden that he would've made a good brother-in-law.
[edit] Techniques and Abilities
Kemmerich was born with the power to control fire. He tends to prefer to attack from afar, but has been known to use hand-to-hand combat. He eventually was able to solidify his fire into a magma like substance.
Kemmerich dabbles a bit in Alchemy. He created potions from his own blood that healed his sister's dark magic allergy and was able to close some of his wounds.
Kemmerich has shown that he can be a cunning strategist. He has able to convince Raiden, 17, Vein and Nigata to help him at certain times, usually using their own morals or greed against them. He viewed everyone around him as dispensable. He used Tjaden's dark magic to control local thugs and used them as cannon fodder.
