Stats
From Hl2land
Your character statistics (stats) describe how strong (strength & endurance) and how fast (speed & sprint) your character is. Your stats also include your reputation (karma), how well you can heal people (medic), how accurate you can shoot (aim), and how well you can sneak around (sneak). This guide will go further in-depth on what each of the stats do and how to raise them. It is against server rules to use a macro or automatic keystroke program to train any skill. This is a bannable offense.

Stats
Strength
Strength is one of the most important stats. Strength controls how hard you hit someone when you punch or use a melee weapon (stun baton or crowbar). If you get into a brawl, you will want to be the one with the highest strength. This will aid in you being able to hit your opponent as hard as possible, giving you an advantage of winning. To raise your strength, you can punch objects or people. Going around punching random people is called punchwhoring, and is against the server rules. If you punch a person, there must be a roleplay reason behind it (someone trying to kidnap or insult you, for example). You can also gain strength by punching objects. The only object that you are allowed to punch within server rules is the hay bale target. These can be purchased from anyone who has a supply license. Punching any item other than a hay bale target is considered stat whoring, and is a bannable offense.
The higher your strength is, the harder it will be to raise it to the next level.
Endurance
Endurance is the counterpart of strength. While strength is how hard you can hit, endurance is how much damage you can take. This is especially helpful if you get in fights or gun fights a lot. Having high endurance will give you the advantage of staying alive or conscious longer than your opponent. To gain endurance, you have to submit yourself to damage. This can be someone shooting, punching, or hitting you with a melee weapon. This should be done in a roleplay fashion -- Don't just have someone randomly start hitting you to get your endurance up. A better idea is to agree to spar with someone to train your endurance (which will also train your strength).
Speed
Speed is how fast you can run. The higher the number here, the faster your character will travel while you are sprinting. The default button to sprint is SHIFT. Just hold down this key while you want to run and your speed will be trained automatically over time. The more you travel while running, the more your speed will go up.
Sprint
Sprint describes how long you can run. The higher the number, the further you can run without having to stop and rest. Training sprint is the exact same as training speed. The more you run, the more this will go up.
Karma
Karma is a new addition to the script and represents your reputation in-game. It does not yet affect anything in-game, but it will in the future. The only way to gain karma right now is to consume Combine rations. This will give you +1 karma in addition to the 50 credits you get from it normally. Killing other people or yourself decreases your karma.
Skills
Medic
This skill describes how well and how fast you can heal yourself and other players. You can raise this skill by using a bandage or health vial on yourself or another player. Health vials will not work if the target is not injured. Bandages will not work if the target is not bleeding.
Aim
This skill describes how accurate you are with guns. The higher the skill level, the more accurate you will be while shooting. To raise this skill, you must have a gun and a hay bale target. Put the hay bale target as far away from you as possible, back up, and begin shooting at it. If you are not hitting the hay bale target a lot, move closer until you are. The further away from the hay bale target, the faster this skill will go up. This skill also goes up when you shoot and hit other players.
Sneak
Sneak is currently a useless skill, unless I am mistaken. In the future, sneak will be useful for not being seen while crouch-walking. Currently, everyone is very slow while crouched, and sneak does not help hide you other than the fact that you make no noise while crouched. To raise this skill, you must crouch-walk. It is very difficult and useless right now to train this skill.
