After Hours Gang

A gang of citizens in City 45. They consider themselves a more formal/organized mob instead of a gang of thugs. They run all sorts of activities, from scams, insurance, night clubs, bars, and sales of various items. Sometimes their business is legitimate, but sometimes illegal. They claim to do all their business to benefit the common man, and to keep the streets a safer place where all citizens can have a little say and power. Most lower members appear to be thuggish, while higher up members usually tend to be more organized in their dealings. A fairly rich and large group and expanding somewhat rapidly. Their main goals are to make profit, and stay out of the trouble of Combine.

History

The pub in Sector 6 was bought by a new citizen in town by the name of Miller Leingod. Leingod named the the pub 'After Houres Brew' and sought to make a legitimate business by running a local bar. However, business was slow and Leingod had no employees. A man named Max Payne, a transfer from another city came into town and became the bartender at After Hours Brew.

While witnessing the crimes of the many chaotic and violent gangs around at the time, the two decided they were going to put order in the streets. The two formed the After Hours Gang. Max Payne took position as the Mob Boss while Miller did all dirty work to get the gang a name amongst the streets. Their goal was to put more order among the streets that the Combine could not achieve.

The group was, for a long time, very small. It was much smaller than most of the various gangs around town. And paled in comparison to Black Arms. Max, looking to increase the power of the gang, initiated a war with Black Arms that lasted several days. Black Arms, being a group so much larger than After Hours, was obviously more powerful. However, both groups attacked each other in various ways for days. Max decided he wanted peace with Black Arms, and through negotiations they became allies. Black Arms and After Hours later became great allies, and have not had any conflicts with each other since.

After the Black Arms gang war, After Hours slowly started to gain more and more power and fame amongst the city. Eventually, with Black Arms activity slowing down and After Hours being the major active group in the city, After Hours recruitment skyrocketed. Currently, After Hours gang is one of the major gangs in City 45, with a little over 30 members. Their Headquarters usually lies in the Apartments across from the Sector 6 Bakery.
