Now that you've learned the basics, from the train station, you can now head out to the big city. This city is designed for the citizens, to fit the absolute minimal for them to live. Now, you're going to need somewhere to live. City 45 has many designated hotel and apartment structures to live in that are not very expensive. One example is the Frontend Hotel. Although this is a hotel, nobody charges unless there is an owner of the WHOLE hotel itself. What you can do is walk up to an available door, and simple dispense your credits into your credit dispensing mechanism (press F4 while looking at the door). Once you have a door, you might need furniture, although City 45 has no action in purchasing furniture, you can scout around the city for furniture, look in the abandoned building, and dumpsters. You don't even have to do this, either. You can also look for a designated furniture re-saler (black market), and purchase various furniture off of him at a low price. You can also open a shop. If you were allowed to bring your former belongings, from your old city and start a shop, there are various places available to purchase, for example, the "Cafe Baltic". If you purchase this place, you can now store your belongings and start selling!

Entering the City

Welcome to City 45! You just got off the train, and you are ready for life in the new city you've been assigned to! For security precautions, you are required to have a Citizen Identification Number, or a CID. These are quite easy to make, you can make one yourself. All you do is fill in the appropriate paperwork and then, you have a CID! To create a CID, type the following in chat: /cid 12345 (it can be any 5-digit number you like). Remember this number, for it will become VERY important on your journey. If you don't have a CID, you can be marked as an Illegal Citizen, detained by the Civil Protection, remain detained until you acquire one, and fined 50 credits. Also, if you don't have one of these, you will not be able to participate in the handing of the rations. Remember, this will be very useful. Now, with all that, you can leave the train station and head to Sector 7, or you can take the train from the lower area of the train station to sector 6.

The City

Sector 7

Sector 7 is the main area of the city. This is where the Train Station, City Administrator's office, Nexus, and the majority of the shops and housing are located. There are two sections of Sector 7, the Plaza and the Alleyways. The main plaza is the area containing the Nexus. The alleyways are on the side of the three Plaza shops, and includes a small park, apartments, two shops, and a two small warehouses.

Shops and Housing in Sector 7

  • Cafe Baltic - Windows, storage locker
  • Foto Shop - Windows, storage cabinet
  • Souviner Shop - No windows, display tables
  • Diordna - Windows, storage basement
  • Change Shops 1 & 2 - Back storage area
  • Frontend Apartments - 4 floors, 3 large rooms
  • Hochheimer Hotel - 2 floors, 2 medium rooms
  • Combine Civil Housing - 4 floors, 12 small rooms
  • Alleyway Apartments - 3 medium rooms

Sector 6

Sector 6 is a large industrial area, and can be accessed by two ways. One way is by walking through the Sector 6 checkpoint entrance tunnel, located behind the Nexus. The second way is by taking the subway train from the Sector 7 Depot to the Sector 6 Depot. If you take the first way, the first thing you will come to is the Canals. This is a large dry sewer canal. Due to the many damaged vehicles and other items that have been dumped here, citizens are recommended to keep away from this area. If you continue on you will get to an area with shops and housing to the right, and a large warehouse to the left. Going to the right will also take you to the Sector 6 Depot.

Shops and Housing in Sector 6

  • Grey's Pub - Secret back room
  • Bakery - Security glass, kitchen, two floors, office, secret escape doors
  • Hotels - 4 floors, 12 small rooms

Events

There is really only a couple events, and they are controlled by the Combine.

Ration Distribution

This is when Combine officers distribute rations to citizens. Rations contain food, money, and karma. Citizens can obtain rations from Combine in the following ways:

  • During a distribution at either the Train Station or the City Administrator's office
  • By turning in an illegal weapon
  • By reporting anti-citizen activity that leads to an arrest

Rations may be withheld if the levels of anti-citizen behavior in the city are too high. Do not ask any Combine officers for rations, or demand that rations be distributed.

Judgment Waiver

A Judgment Waiver may be issued if the city is in a state of chaos, and Combine officers need to get all citizens inside, be it for their safety, or due to a riot. When a Judgment Waiver is issued, IMMEDIATELY go to the nearest shop or housing block, and stay inside until the Judgement Waiver is over. Complying with all Combine officers during this is required, and not doing so may result in detainment.

Curfew

At dusk, a curfew will be initiated. The exact time will be when a Combine Broadcast pertaining to this is made. Once the curfew is in effect, all citizens are to go into a housing block, such as the Frontend Apartments, the Hochheimer Hotel, or the Combine Civil Housing. Citizens may also go to a shop for the night, but only if they are the owner, or have the owner's permission. Said owner must be present. Citizens may also go to the Sector 7 alleyways, stay in the Train Station, or go to Sector 6. If you are caught out past curfew in the Main Plaza, you will be warned, then detained until morning. A ration distribution will occur before a curfew, and in the morning once a curfew has ended (may change). Morning is generally when the sun can be seen over the top of the Train Station, or when a Combine Broadcast is made stating that the Curfew is over.

The Combine

The Combine are designated security officers that enforce the laws appointed by the City Administrator himself. If anyone is caught disobeying these laws, the Combine will come into play. The Combine aren't just police officers, they also participate in ration distribution. If you see an anti-citizen, and need a combine immediately, activate your internal Civil Protection Request Chip, implanted into your brain, and send your message (/cr MESSAGE), and soon enough, the Combine will arrive. If a Combine officer commands you to do something, from picking up trash, to getting against the wall, you are expected to do so. If you don't you will be considered an Anti-Citizen and will be sent to the nexus facility, where you will be held. The Combine are stationed at the Nexus, which is a big tower, over watching the city itself. This is where you will be held if you have done any anti-citizen acts. If you need an officer, please DO NOT go on the Nexus steps, this will be considered a security risk, and you might be wrongly jailed, consider this your ONLY WARNING!
