Introduction

Summit Lake is a year-round Christian Conference & Retreat Center located near Emmitsburg, MD. Facilities are rented to church & school groups of 15 to 380 for retreats, summer camp & outdoor education.

Lodging

There are 256 beds in double cabins which are available for year-round use. Each side has 16 beds with separate indoor bathroom/shower. Each group is assigned separate cabins & separate meeting rooms.

Meeting Rooms

• The Tabernacle
  • Serves groups of 50 to 350. This 4700-foot building features a majestic fireplace built of 100 tons of native stone & a glass wall overlooking the 5-acre lake through a giant timber cross. It also has a piano.

• Chapel
  • Serves groups of up to 150. Two small meeting rooms facilitate division into discussion groups. Set on a heavily forested slope, it features windowed walls at both ends which provide an inspiring, natural background for your meeting in any season. A piano & fireplace add to the rustic charm.

• Director's Lodge
  • Serves groups of 15-20 in a "living room" atmosphere. Set on top of the hill, it views the entire camp area, yet maintains a sense of privacy.

• The Lakeside Room
  • Serves groups of up to 50. A native-stone fireplace, a window-wall view & patio doors opening onto a spacious deck built over the lake make this facility a delightful place to enjoy the beauty of God's creation.

• The Main Building
  • Houses 2 meeting rooms, each with a great stone fireplace.
