Okay, so he had been a stupid kid. A stupid, annoying kid that ran off on his own too often, got lost, cried about it, then stole some candy and cried about being scolded for stealing. But that stupid kid figured out life a little better through doing stupid things, and he grew up into a respectable, easy-going young man. Or rather, he had to, being part of a mafia family.
He traveled a lot (read: ran away from home to go have fun elsewhere) when he was just a little Lambo, and now that he was older, he decided to do it all over again. Maybe he’d actually learn a little more, or find something amazing in that big world outside of Italy and his position within the Bovino family. Nobody seemed to mind him leaving for a little while again; they thought, maybe he’d toughen up a little more, and finally get over being a crybaby.
The last place he went was back to Japan, the country where he ended his journey ten years ago; lucky for him, he could stay with a friend he’d made ten years ago as well. I-Pin and him didn’t have the best relationship when they were kids (more or less, Lambo terrorized the girl, as he was the “broccoli monster”), but he was thankful she’d let him stay with her until he decided to go back to Italy.
The summer in Hinamizawa was so much more peaceful than back home, anyways.
