The ZMW-005 Heru was one of the first 'second generation' Gemini suits produced. Named after the Egyptian protector God of the Sun, this suit was named so due to the avian appearence. The suit was issued to the Zodiac Soldier Leo for use in the campaigns. The biggest development of the Heru-line was in incorporation of the Newtype weaponry, Bits. Offensive Bits contained micro-generators for the small ion drives and beam cannon, which were controlled by the pilot's thoughts. The Defensive weapons were capable of projecting beam shields to defend the model.

Due to the success of the Heru, the model was further developed to produce the GMS-001 Leo. The model would serve both Leo's well until the end of the Gemini war. At the end of the final battle, the suit was destroyed after the allied psychics broke the Zodiac grip on Soldier Leo. Tom proceeded to detonate the suit, leaving it to float as debris with the rest of Gemini's fleet.

Design Features

Anti-Beam Crystalline Coating - The surface of the Heru is coated with a unique blend of crystals that reflect most beam energy. This minimizes damage from beam based weaponry.

Psycommu System The Psycommu (Psychic Communication) system translates psychic energy into computer commands. The result allows a psychic pilot to easily operate mobile weapons by thought alone. Still, manual controls are installed in case the system is damaged.
