Amir was born shortly before the
Martian Confederation attack on the Earth, and grew up during the Pax Terra of the UEG. His family was not involved with politics, instead working out a mediocre life as middle class workers. Amir's introduction into space came with the prospect of being part of the Outbound Project, hijacked by terrorists seeking to move away from the conflicts instilled in humanity. Amir and his family were allowed on through religious connections, gaining Amir safety from the final hours of the UEG's final battle.
