The Asura is the main ship of the AWARE fleet, developed on Saturday, November 25th by Derrick Lang. The name comes from an Eastern spirit to keep in theme with the Wight and Phantom mobile suits of AWARE. The design is based off of the Republic Star Destroyer of the Expanded Star Wars universe.

Description

The Asura-class Battleship was commissioned by AWARE even before the development of mobile suits by the alliance. The ship is new-age design, sporting an organic form. Also using many defensive features, the Asura maintains a role as peacekeeper, but also as a decisive part of any battle. Each Asura is armed with payloads capable of being delivered through orbital bombardment or atomspheric / zero-gravity combat.

Ship Names

Each of the three original Asura designs were named after three important characters of GWN, Odeon Satoki, Neo atmosphericLee, and Jeb 'Dark Wolf Halo. The ships' commanders are also named after the real life creators of the character, Captain Weedon being in control of the Satoki, Commander Shonkwiler leads the Lee, and the Dark Wolf is controlled by Captain Baron.

Performance

The AWARE ships first appear at the battle of Tata against Brahman and Cronos Industrial forces on November 25, AC 279. The ships executed a moderated successful performance, save the disastrous fate of the Satoki, who was hit with the NAME NEEDED's main weapon, suffering massive structural damage. With tether lines, the Lee and Dark Wolf saved the Satoki from crashing into the moon and escaped into hyperspace.
