After the success of the ''[[RM-14 Storm Cloud]]'' [[Mobile Doll]], Gemini created an even stronger design, the ''Thunderer''. Like all [[Gemini Foundation|Gemini]] Dolls, this suit was equipped with the latest technology. The ''Thunderer's'' design featured the ''Storm Cloud'' system, but it also featured a brand new design.

The '''Energy Absorbing Armor''' sported a hull riddled with a multitude of energy receptors. Any excess energy was absorbed by the receptors, which added it to the energy collector stored in the back unit. The extra energy was added to the output of the high-intensity beam cannon, creating a high-energy shot. The result of this project resulted in better beam cannon technology, though the EA Armor was never further pursued.

Gemini produced a special variant of the [[RM-15 Thunderer]], renamed the '''GF-001MAA Thunderstorm'''. The units were identical, but were painted black with gold trim for low visibility. The units only saw action during [[The Battle of the Dark Graveyard]], and soon Gemini phased out Mobile Doll production.
