Backstory

Morgen, Morgen, nicht nun Heute, sagte allen faulen leute.

However, for a quick overview, before exalting, Panther Fist was a craftsman, adventureman, and family man. His metal working and raiding dangerous places provided money to support his younger siblings, who had been orphaned when a quack doctor sent his father on a fatal trip to get cures for a different disease than his mother had.

Then the enemy came, and Panther Fist was barely able to get himself and his siblings out of the city before it was sieged and taken. He found the unclaimed manse he now calls home and base, and managed to set up a defensive perimeter that held for a few days. He exalted trying to complete the unfinished colossus warstrider in the facility. Well, to be more accurate, he exalted while trying to save his own damn life from being boiled alive because the guys that penetrated the defensive perimeter made a crude trap that they kicked him into. It took all of his skills to get out, and probably more. Like when he completed Steamfaust. He knows that he couldn't have managed even the incomplete form that he has now.

But, that doesn't matter. He has a giant robot, a semi-functional cannon, and a score to settle with some people.

Panther Fist is actually a better than average looking guy. This is pretty amazing considering he almost became a dish of Boiled Panther. He's a long, scraggly beard away from being a long haired mountain man, with deep furrows in his brow and a light in his black eyes.

His skin's turned a slightly darker tan after being boiled, but not so much that it's a radical departure from how he was. He retains a small, toughened patch of skin that's the exact shade he used to be before boiling, in the shape of a Twilight Caste mark on his brow.

He wears a variety of clothes made to help resist the heat of his forge and steam work.

  • Steamfaust the Colossus(level 5; 14m)
    • A giant warstrider made of orichalcum, powered by essence and steam! 32 soak, 17 hardness, 20 Strength, -10 Mobility, 8 Fatigue, and Creation's greatest AFRO! Also, more mundanely, it has a pair of Khatars and Fighting Gauntlets each made to adhere to the armor. Both stored at the manse when not used.
  • The Killer(level 3; 5m)
    • The Killer is a fairly large, essence and steam powered linear accelerator. Unfortunately, it needs special ammunition to work properly, and Panther Fist hasn't quite managed to properly replicate it. If the rounds he makes fire at all, the weapon functions like a medium concussive Essence Cannon.

    • See, even if exalting saved his life, getting pretty much boiled alive had some serious reprocussions.
  • Permanant Caste Mark(2)
    • As a side note, his caste mark is an odd inverse scar in his forehead. The essence protected it from being too horribly boiled, so it's a perfect bit of unmarred skin.
  • Deminished Touch (4)
    • The other reprecussion was having most of his nerves boiled into uselessness.
  • Damaged Artifact (4 total)
    • Both Steamfaust and the Killer have some... issues in being used. Steamfaust doesn't always transmit essence properly, and only about half of the shells he makes for Killer actually work. Both refuse to work properly on a roll of 5 or less upon being first used in a scene. Steamfaust becomes awkward, subtracting two successes from any action taken in it, and Killer doesn't fire the loaded round.
